For a decade I have walked into systems drowning in low-quality signal: search spam, a creator marketplace that punished good and bad alike, an AI learning the wrong things from the open internet, and built the teams, the tooling, and the judgment that surface what actually matters. I have run a nine-figure creator economy, stood up AI safety operations before the industry had a name for it, ended stalemates nobody else would touch, and bet on content three teams told me to kill.
Independent Research, Multi-Agent AI Systems
- Built a multi-agent LLM system that runs multiple models in parallel on the same problems and reads cross-model divergence as a confidence signal; applied it to an agent that automates parts of my job search, documented in a public essay series.
Director, Fortnite Developer Programs
- Mapped the full developer-program landscape across engineering, publishing, partnerships, and creator relations in three months.
- Proposed, got approved, and began building an AI-powered refactor of the creator feedback and bug pipeline with Google on Gemini and BigQuery; reached 40% of a targeted 70% workflow automation in 3.5 months before a company-wide restructuring.
Director, Creator Partner Program
- Led a team of 2 PMs, 5 contractors, and 4 embedded partners across a $260M creator ecosystem of 300+ studios.
- Built Minecraft's first creator-enforcement system; partner confidence rose 23% to 87%, and monthly scorecard reviews cut content rejection 26% in 90 days.
- Drove $17M in new directly attributable revenue in a single fiscal year via a publisher program, an IP-lite licensing framework, and an emerging-creator pipeline. $48.86M total FY25 contribution.
- Championed a project that three internal teams wanted to kill; it became the #1 selling Marketplace content for nearly a year.
- Produced the Minecraft National Park with The Nature Conservancy: 75 studios, $500K+ raised. (The studios made me build and sail a real Minecraft boat on Lake Sammamish to earn their time. I did.)

- Ran programs across Windows, Xbox, Bing, Edge, and MSN with no direct authority over any partner teams.
- Drove the Smash.gg acquisition, revived after an initial pass and closed at a fraction of its earlier valuation when the in-person esports market collapsed during the pandemic; ran 18 FTEs through migration, rebrand, and a pivot to online events.
- Patented and productized a machine-vision livestream analysis pipeline in collaboration with Microsoft Research, shipping to 40M+ MAU.
- Stood up a 200-person cross-org hackathon team that shipped 80+ ML models in three days and won first place, Growth. Largest hackathon team in Microsoft history.

- Drove full product lifecycle for ChronoZoom, which let users explore 14B years of history in-browser and on mobile; won the SXSW award for Best Educational Technology, 2013.
- Directed digital-humanities and games-for-learning research with Harvard, Stanford, Berkeley, CMU, Tsinghua, and other top institutions; responsible for ~$1.7M annual funding.
Research Engineer, OptiMetrics
- DARPA and OSD-funded research in quantum computation, cryptography, and signals intelligence. Held TS/SCI security clearance.
Named inventor on 13 granted patents across data visualization, conversational AI, and machine vision.
I built a conversational-AI system from a blank page inside one of the major industrial labs racing on the problem: four people, no dev environment, a 2M+ user product taken to public launch on a three-month, seven-day-a-week sprint. I built the evaluation layer, the human-labeling pipeline, and the incident program that kept it reliable. Across my career I have shipped AI to more than 100M users on consumer surfaces, and I now run multi-agent LLM systems as a daily working method.
Independent Research, Multi-Agent AI Systems
- Built a multi-agent system that runs multiple LLMs in parallel on the same problem and uses disagreement between them as a confidence signal: convergence raises certainty, divergence flags an underspecified or frame-dependent problem.
- Pointed it at a real workload, an applied agent that automates parts of my own job search end to end, and documented the architecture, failure modes, and lessons in an ongoing public essay series.
Director, Fortnite Developer Programs
- Proposed, got approved, and began building an AI-powered refactor of the creator feedback and bug pipeline with Google on Gemini and BigQuery; reached 40% of a targeted 70% workflow automation before a company-wide restructuring.
Director, Creator Partner Program
- Owned policy, enforcement, and tooling for a $260M creator ecosystem of 300+ studios.
- Built a weighted strike framework across 100+ policy categories that offboarded repeat offenders and cut egregious violations, with a bi-directional feedback loop that surfaced overly restrictive policy for revision; partner confidence rose 23% to 87% over the course of my tenure.
- Unified partner data from five disconnected systems into one Partner-ID-joined operational instance (SQL + Kusto + a Power BI front-end built personally), then ran it in monthly studio scorecard reviews; content rejection dropped 26% in 90 days.
- Generated $17M in new directly attributable revenue in a single fiscal year; $48.86M total FY25 program contribution.

- Productized machine-vision analysis of livestreams with Microsoft Research and shipped match-stats experiences across Bing, MSN, and Windows to 40M+ MAU.
- Built the labeling interface itself: users marked areas of interest on a livestream, a pipeline pulled frames, and non-technical labelers annotated them through a UI that produced ML-ready output.
- Stood up a 200-person cross-org hackathon team that shipped 80+ ML models in three days and won first place, Growth. Largest hackathon team in Microsoft history.

- Joined a four-person team with no dev environment and built the evaluation infrastructure from scratch for an early conversational AI (2M+ users): golden datasets, precision/recall tracking, experimental-vs-test-set discipline, and a live feedback loop into the classifier layer.
- Designed a self-service tooling platform so analysts could configure classifiers, add blockwords, tag cohorts, and build dashboards without engineering support.
- Stood up the system's 24/7 incident program from scratch: a staffed analyst rotation, tiered DRI escalation, and data-driven postmortems that guided classifier improvements. Served as incident commander through multi-week high-severity events.
- Ran a controlled pilot embedding analysts in adversarial communities to generate prospective training data; measured precision/recall lift and expanded the program.
- Ran live A/B experimentation across Bing, AI & Research, and Esports: designed flights, allocated traffic, and read significance and lift directly; built a live-data retention table from scratch for cohort tracking.

- Partner confidence in Marketplace direction rose from 23% to 87% over three years.
- Resolved an LGBTQIA+ content-availability problem through jurisdictional geofencing (available where legal, excluded where not) rather than blanket prohibition, and aligned the creator community to embrace an imperfect win.

For a decade I have built partnerships by finding what each side actually wanted and trading on it, often without writing a check. I brokered a multi-year Microsoft–Reddit data partnership for zero dollars, revived a dead acquisition and closed it at a fraction of its earlier valuation, and turned a hostile platform that sent my organizers cease-and-desists into a sanctioned partner.
Director, Creator Partner Program
- Managed partnerships across a $260M creator ecosystem of 300+ studios; $17M in new directly attributable revenue in one fiscal year, $48.86M total FY25 contribution.
- Designed and launched the Publisher Program from a blank page: converted a backlog of 40K applications into an emerging-creator pipeline channeled through 3 publishers on a required 80/20 split in the creators' favor, one of three pillars behind the $17M.
- Launched Mojang's first IP-lite licensing framework, letting small creators and regional brands run authorized Bedrock activations; built intake, approval, compliance, and royalty structures from scratch; 12 regional brand activations.
- Co-owned a direct integration negotiation with TikTok spanning their BD and product teams, sourcing the build studio and holding the line on scope against significant platform pressure.
- Produced the Minecraft National Park with The Nature Conservancy: coordinated 75 external studios, raised $500K+. (The studios challenged me to build and sail a real Minecraft boat on Lake Sammamish to earn their time. I did.)
